Discussions of the Most Common Forms of Power Generation

It is believed that electricity is supposed to be one of the most important energy sources in our daily lives. Without electricity, everything in this world can't work normally. We all know that the whole world has been completely changed since the electricity had been created. We can totally say that human beings today can't live without electricity. In view of this situation, more and more sources are being taken into consideration to produce electricity in recent years. Here, we will discuss some most commonly used methods of power generation in order to find a best way to produce electricity without any bad influences.

First, Advantages and Disadvantages of Hydroelectric Generation
Hydroelectric generation mainly takes use of the power from water head which can convert water power into electricity. This kind of energy is completely clean, non-pollution and energy-saving. But we need to build different large hydropower station in order to provide enough power. Since water power is the clean renewable energy and also inexhaustible. Hydroelectric generation has been considered as one of the useful methods to produce electricity. But there still have some problems. The large hydropower station may cause some bad influences on the environment. And the cost of building station is very huge that not all the places can afford.
Second, Advantages and Disadvantages of Thermal Power Generation
We all know that thermal power generation is supposed to be the most traditional method of power generation. It requires little technologies and costs. But it could cause significant waste of resources. The sewage will also bring serious pollution to the atmosphere and environment. So more and more people being to advocate wind power generation will be definitely safe to the environment.
Third, Advantages and Disadvantages of Wind Power Generation
When it comes to wind power, people will think about wind turbine or horizontal axis wind generator which are all the necessary equipments of producing electricity. You know, wind energy is a kind of natural resource which is the regenerate energy and will never dry up. Since environmental problems have become very serious more than ever, wind power is getting more attention today. A growing number of engineers begin to design vertical wind turbine and axis wind turbine in order to make full use of the wind power. Today, the cost of building wind turbine is still very high. But with more effects have been done to solve this issue, I do believe that wind power generation will become the trend in future years.
Fourth, Advantages and Disadvantages of Nuclear Energy Power Generation
Nuclear electric power generation is a new kind of method to produce electricity. In fact, nuclear power won't produce any carbon dioxide that may aggravate the greenhouse effect. On the other hand, the cost of nuclear power won't be influenced by the international economic situation since the cost is not so high. So nuclear electric power generation is very stable. The last but not the least, the neutron and radioactive material from nuclear power could do great harm to human body, so factories must avoid people to get close to the nuclear power station.
